Mission
The objective of this study is to propose acceleration mechanisms based on QUIC or other TLS approach to allow both encryption and acceleration mechanisms compatible with hybrid scenarios.
Such mechanisms could be an opportunity to move towards QUIC-based PEP. A very important point will be the analysis and the potential integration of new post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) solutions into future satellite systems.
Context : SATCOM operator faces issues when end-to-end VPN solutions are exploited. The definition of VPN based solutions including the latest QUIC SATCOM-compatible approaches could not only resolve this issue but is also an opportunity for introducing encryption mechanisms in the SATCOM environment along with adequate acceleration mechanisms.
