Job Description:
An Application Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting software applications used within cloud communication department. Their duties typically include:
Provide technical support responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions for software-related problems.
Monitoring and maintaining the performance, availability, and security of applications.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as user guides and troubleshooting manuals, to assist users and other team members.
Recording details of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions for future reference and analysis.
Participating in testing activities to identify and resolve software defects.
Working closely with development teams, IT operations, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of applications.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in application performance, reliability, and user experience.
Providing training and support to end-users to help them effectively utilize the applications.
Ensuring that applications comply with relevant regulations and security standards.
Staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices in application development and support.
Flexibility in being reachable and responsive during specified on-call periods, which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Promptly addressing any critical issues that arise during on-call hours, including troubleshooting, escalation if necessary, and resolution of the problem.
Maintaining clear communication channels with relevant stakeholders, such as other support team members, developers, and end-users, to ensure a coordinated response to incidents.
Conducting follow-up activities after resolving incidents, such as root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to avoid similar issues in the future.
Strong knowledge and experience in developing applications using .NET Core framework, including its latest features and best practices.
Knowledge of database technologies commonly used with .NET Core, such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, including database design and optimization.
