About the department
Insights & Portfolio Strategy is part of the Novo Nordisk Rare Disease organisation. Through our work with Research, Development, and Marketing, we help set the commercial direction for Novo Nordisk’s future drug portfolio. As part of our Competitive Intelligence and Customer Insights responsibilities, we assess the impact of competitor activities and execute market research projects to support product and portfolio strategies.
The position
As our new Cell Therapy Insights Lead you will join a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals who are responsible for generating HCP & patient insights, and monitoring Novo Nordisk’s key competitors within the Cell Therapy space. You will be working across the Customer Insights and Competitor Intelligence functions and act as an Insights Partner to the Cell Therapy commercial unit to support commercial strategy development.
Your tasks will include: Monitoring, analysing and reporting on new competitor activities within the Cell Therapy space Generating data-driven impact assessments and insights to support project decisions and strategy development Participating in Global Project Teams and providing an external perspective to ensure competitiveness of Novo Nordisk’s Cell Therapy pipeline Participating in and reporting from key scientific congresses throughout the year Leading quantitative and qualitative market research projects Driving development of the yearly global market research plan for Cell Therapy
Daily, you will work with a diverse network of internal colleagues from across the value chain including Research, Development, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing and Product Supply. You will work in a global context and interact primarily with headquarter functions. You will report to the Director of Customer Insights as part of the Insights & Portfolio Strategy department. You should expect approximately 10% travel throughout the year.
Qualifications
Must Have: An academic degree in science, preferably at a master’s level or above 8+ years pharmaceutical industry experience OR minimum 4 years industry experience + PhD Extensive experience with quantitative and qualitative market research projects A natural interest in the latest scientific & technological advances in the pharmaceutical industry Fluency in written and spoken English A natural ability to communicate complex science simply and clearly
Preferable: Experience working within cell therapy / gene therapy space
You are a team player, with a high degree of flexibility and outstanding stakeholder management and presentation skills. In this position you will work with all levels of the Novo Nordisk organisation, and you must have a clear understanding of the level of quality and commitment required to succeed.
