Job Description

Danfoss is actively seeking a proficient Continuous Improvement Expert. The primary objective of this role is to provide guidance to departments and product lines and assist with the full deployment and follow up of DBS and Continuous Improvement. The successful integration of these methodologies is pivotal in propelling the plant towards the realization of its objectives in terms of quality, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and delivery efficiency. Job Responsibilities

  • Deploy Danfoss Business System (DBS)
  • Drive Continuous improvement of SQDC
  • Lead, manage and develop local lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Ensure cooperation and compliance with corporate lean initiative and divisional guidelines and standards
  • Identify ideas for continuous improvement on Shop floor
  • Work with Value Streams on implementing improvement activities
  • Work with DBS and other corporate resources on identifying potential improvements
  • Work with tools and predict improvements and identify bottlenecks
  • Develop short and long-term plans utilizing roadmap and TIP plans
  • Maintain KPI’s and reporting related to productivity
  • Utilize lean manufacturing tools and provide support
  • Local Train-the trainer on the DBS Fundamental elements
  • Promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
  • Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Industrial Engineering degree or related fields
  • English – language capability, speaking, reading and writing required
  • Experience and excellent understanding Lean Manufacturing philosophy, tools and methods
  • Managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, with solid knowledge of engineering techniques & manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels
  • Able to take accountability for ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to connect with and coach and train people at all levels
  • Ability to get things done and build momentum
  • Six Sigma Black belt or Greenbelt preferred
