About theRole Our client is seeking a candidate for the position of a Cybersecurity Engineer. The individual will take the lead in implementing cybersecurity solutions and actively collaborate with partners and stakeholders. The role is a 60/70% hands on and 30% architecture side with guidance and support from the Manager. Responsibilities Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures. Monitoring security events, providing response and resolutions to issues Keep an eye on and understand what’s happening with security, and if there’s a problem, act fast to fix it. Team up with different groups to make sure security is considered when designing and setting up systems. Support and give advice to junior team members who are still learning. Stay on top of the latest cyber security trends, technologies, and threats and invlove them in the organisation. Skills & Experience Required OR About Your Experience Demonstrated experience in a cybersecurity-related position, preferably within medium to large IT organizations. Proven proficiency in effectively and professionally communicating with customers. Establishing policies, procedures, and crafting relevant documentation has been consistently demonstrated. A robust grasp of networks, firewalls, proxies, SIEM, Cloud, Endpoint controls, DLP concepts, and technologies. Expertise with Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, Azure, and SIEM products, backed by practical experience. Sound knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems, Networking, Applications, and enterprise services. Exposure to Security Orchestration and Automation, Threat Intelligence, or Threat Hunting is part of the background.
