**Economist - Financial Stability** (M/F)**

**Your mission**:
Within the Financial Stability and Macro prudential Analysis section, the Economist - Financial Stability will contribute to the analysis and assessment of current macro-financial conditions, systemic risks, structural and cyclical developments in both the Luxembourg and EU/euro area financial sectors.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Drafting of working papers and publications in the BCL’s Financial Stability Review, reports and briefing notes related to systemic risk and macro-prudential policy and analysis for internal purposes and for the Systemic Risk Committee (CdRS);
- Participation in and contribution to Eurosystem and/or European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) task forces, expert groups and working groups;
- Other tasks may include the development of monitoring frameworks and stress tests and early warning models and indicators for the Luxembourg financial sector and macro-prudential tools and instruments.
**Your profile**:
- Master or PhD degree in economics, finance or econometrics;
- Professional expertise in the fields of economics of banking, financial stability, and macro-prudential supervision would be an advantage;
- Strong analytical ability and mastery of panel and time series econometric techniques and software;
- Familiar with aggregated and granular economic and financial data, including banks’ balance sheets and other reporting statistics;
- Ability to author “advanced” studies and assessments of risks and developments in the banking and financial sectors and translate those reports and analyses into clear policy-relevant conclusions;
- Fluent in English and French. Luxembourgish would be a distinctive advantage;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to produce clear and well-written analytical notes and/or reports;
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints as well as in a multicultural team environment.
