ArcelorMittal are developing the Green Primary project that entails the replacement of one blast furnace, by a Direct Reduced Iron plant and two Electrical Arc furnaces to be able to produce almost half of their current production through a more sustainable production route.
This project must enable a reduction of CO2 emissions by almost 30% compared to 2018 and must enable ArcelorMittal Belgium to go to zero emissions by 2050.

Role
Develop, together with the Engineering offices, comprehensive fluids system designs
Optimize these fluids systems configuration to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and enhance overall system reliability.
Lead fluids focussed projects from conception to completion ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Ensure fluids systems are designed and operated in compliance with regulatory guidelines and project requirements
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams throughout design, construction and commissioning phases
Stay updated with relevant codes, regulations and industry standards related to fluids systems and environmental requirements
Stay updated with latest innovations (materials, techniques, …) in fluids engineering
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate progress and results.
Contribute to the construction execution plan to ensure practical and seamless installation of the instrumentation and process control design and flawless commissioning. Follow-up through the construction and commissioning phase
Discipline Engineer Utilities
Role

Profile
You have a technical Master’s degree in a related field
You have minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in this discipline.
You have excellent communication skills and are able to work in international teams
You have strong problem solving skills
You have experience with advanced simulation tools, CAD software and technical analysis methods
