Netnod distributes Swedish national time as commissioned by the Swedish Post and Telecom authority. As part of this work, Netnod is developing new methods for distributing and measuring time.
Many time protocols in use globally lack proper authentication and protection against third-party manipulation.
This thesis concerns signing of general time data, with the specific inclusion of Common GNSS Generic Time (CGGTTS).
The thesis should preferably be done by two students, 30hp each during the autumn of 2024.
Netnod will provide an on-site supervisor with relevant academic qualifications.
Netnod will also provide necessary equipment and a one time compensation upon completion of the thesis project.
Qualifications
This thesis project is aimed at students in computer science and engineering with an interest in security and statistical methodology.
The students should have good language skills in both English and Swedish.
Location
The students are expected to be partly present at the Netnod main office in Solna, Stockholm.
