The Mechanical Engineer is responsible within the own specific discipline for the system’s design and constructability, in terms of conformity to customer/regulatory requirements, quality, time schedule and budget.
He reports to the Design Manager during the design phase and to the Project Manager (or Construction Manager) during execution. Explore your tasks and responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer has the responsibility to:
Develop, within the own specific discipline, design according to the Client’s requirements and latest state of the art solutions
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the on the market latest technical solutions, materials and equipment
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the norms and standards to be implemented in a specific project in a specific area/country
Work according to design quality procedures and project indications
Provide input to CAD operators to carry out the design
Coordination for piping class specifications and requirements
Coordination for duct class specifications and requirements
Developing of sized single line distribution layouts
Indication of equipment characteristics and requirements
Deal with authorities or others (partners, Client, colleagues, etc.) to provide information and support on the specific discipline
Learn lessons from construction team for future design. Distribute information on these Lessons Learned within project team and, if the case, within M+W Italy organisation
Deal with suppliers to provide technical requests and check/evaluate offers

Technical knowledge of the following disciplines /systems:
HVAC
Process Exhaust
Knowledge of latest technical design solutions
Knowledge of the norms and standards to be implemented in a specific project in a specific area/country
Knowledge of design procedures
Ability to work in team
Engineering degree
Speak and write intermediate English
Experience
•Three (3) years direct experience in specific discipline design
