We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Operations Manager based in Hamar, Norway, with a requirement for travel.

Key Qualifications for the Site Operations Manager:

  • Proven experience in Data Centre environments
  • Expertise in Copper and Fibre network cabling
  • Full-time engagement on construction sites and collaboration with General Contractors
  • Prior experience is crucial for engineers who have not previously worked with us
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Centres is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of high-end supplier materials, including Corning, Exel Krone, patch panels, and cabling (both fibre and copper)
  • Thorough understanding of structured cabling and optical fibre infrastructure, including cable connectors
  • Up-to-date with the latest industry codes and standards, including CDM and Health & Safety regulations, with the ability to implement cabling works according to established standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of bandwidth requirements for specific cabling and lengths, including SFP knowledge
  • Ability to fault find, clean, and test optical fibre links in accordance with industry standards
  • Responsible for verifying all documentation, such as cut-sheets for connectivity patching, ensuring all site operatives have the latest floor plans
  • Setting up all testing equipment in line with specific cabling standards
  • Possession of all necessary PPE, including Hi-vis clothing, hard hats, goggles, gloves, and data centre compliant boots
  • Familiarity with tooling and terminating equipment, and where applicable, OTDR and LSPM
  • Any certifications related to MEWP, Health & Safety, and Cabling Documentation are advantageous
