Would you like to use the latest technology and ways of working to keep Nordea at the forefront of Responsible Investments? We are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to accelerate the progress of the ESG Development Team.
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. We meet customer demands and guide our customers in the right direction in asset selection while ensuring prudent ESG practices. NAM has around 900 employees and more than 475 Nordic and international institutional clients.

Welcome to the ESG Value Stream. We add value by ensuring that high quality Environmental, Social and Governance data and insights are available to our internal customers. As the Software Engineer in this team, you’ll play a valuable role in developing the platform to enable Nordea Asset Management to maintain and strengthen its position as a pioneer in Responsible Investments.
What you’ll be doing: Developing the ESG data platform, adding new data sources and transformations in response to new business requirements Constantly improving the platform, in-line with Nordea Asset Management’s progressive technology strategy Supporting Responsible Investments Quants by industrializing the analytical models they develop Continue evolving the cloud data platform to a serverless, cloud native pattern

The ideal candidate has: Experience building systems in Python Experience using SQL with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres or MySQL
In addition, it is advantageous if you have experience in any of the following: Building and deploying containerised applications on Kubernetes Building streaming applications with Apache Kafka Building workflows with Apache Airflow Public cloud native technologies and patterns from AWS and/or Azure Declarative Infra as Code, e.g. Terraform Familiarity with Dotnet Experience working in end-to-end delivery teams
