As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the SQL Server infrastructure. Our environment encompasses SQL Server 2014, 2016, and 2019, with a commitment to delivering new instances with the latest available version. The SQL Server architecture primarily relies on virtual machines, with a few physical servers in the mix.
Main responsibilities:
Support and maintain SQL Server 2014, 2016, and 2019 instances
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts following best practices
Manage code repository using BitBucket; some automation with Ansible
Utilize SSMS, SCOM, and other tools for efficient SQL Server operations
Backup & restore for BizTalk-based apps
Lead upgrades, migrations, and maintenance
Apply patches, ensure product support, and manage decommissioning
Facilitate application deployment on SQL Server
Implement security features, auditing, and retention
Establish monitoring practices and generate reports
