We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Engineer to join our Global Expert Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and performing Field Service activities on Wärtsilä engines, traveling globally for service jobs. Key Responsibilities:
Pre-commissioning and commissioning of Wärtsilä equipment with the latest automation and electrical technologies for marine and land-based installations.
Troubleshooting by identifying failures, adjusting and testing of installations, according to instructions and expected performance requirements.
Leading and managing assigned team and related activities during the work execution.
Performing installation audits at various land and sea-based installations.
Preparing service reports and travel expenses on time in accordance with expected Wärtsilä quality.
Participating in and contributing to improvement of new products when performing warranty activities.
Proactively consulting, advising, and promoting available Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.
Ensuring customer satisfaction through performance and positive interactions with customers.
Conforming with and abiding by Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines, regulations, site procedures, and policies.
Adhering to all safety rules and using all appropriate safety equipment.
Requirements:
BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, similar relevant technical educational background, or qualifications as a combination of education and experience.
Significant experience with marine installation operations, maintenance, and repairs.
Experience with and knowledge of Wärtsilä engines and products.
Experience with large bore engines will be considered an advantage.
Experience with reporting and documentation.
Proven leadership qualities and decision-making skills.

Strong practical problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset, along with resourcefulness to adjust and adapt when faced with a challenge.
Highly effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient English language skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness and flexibility to travel globally for service jobs, approximately 150 – 220 days per year.
