Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Engineer or Senior Superintendent Engineer to join our Global Field Service team at Wärtsilä Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and performing field service activities on Wärtsilä engines, traveling globally to execute service on marine and land-based installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned teams and related activities during work execution.
• Perform installation audits at various land and sea-based installations.
• Prepare service reports and travel expenses in accordance with expected Wärtsilä quality.
• Participate in and contribute to the improvement of new products during warranty activities.
• Proactively consult, advise, and promote available Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through performance and positive interactions with customers.
• Conform with and abide by Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines, regulations, site procedures, and policies.
• Adhere to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant technical educational background.
• Significant experience with marine installation operations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with and knowledge of Wärtsilä engines and products.
• Experience with large bore engines will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with reporting and documentation.
• Proven leadership qualities and decision-making skills.
• Passion for learning and professional growth, along with a desire to keep up with the latest innovations.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset, along with resourcefulness to adjust and adapt when faced with a challenge.
• Highly effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-directed approach, with the ability to work independently as well as in close cooperation with your team.
• Proficient English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel globally for service jobs.
