Job Purpose
The overall purpose of the Subsea System Engineer is to:
· Delivering a technical system solution to meet customer project requirements, whilst maximizing execution efficiency and cost effectiveness
· Co-ordinating multi-discipline and multi-center Engineering teams
· Pro-active engagement and effective negotiation with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Job Description
The Subsea Systems Engineer is responsible to supervise daily engineering activities within the scope of the systems engineer through execution of assigned Project, Tender or FEED study.
He/ she reports to the Systems & Design Engineering Senior Manager.
Key Missions and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Subsea Systems Engineer include, but are not limited to: Lead by example and demonstrate commitment to Safety and Quality through actively driving the correct behaviors (in line with Core Values). Lead a multi-disciplined Engineering team through execution of assigned Project, Tender or Front end study. Deliver a technical system solution to meet customer project requirements, whilst maximizing execution efficiency and cost effectiveness. Drive innovative solutions to improve Project economics. Ensure compliance with design rules, procedures and project requirements. Create, Review and Approve Engineering deliverable documents. Ensure all technical interfaces (internal and external) are identified and successfully managed. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the Project team. Pro-actively address any Project non-conformances to ensure robust preventive actions are implemented and lessons learnt shared. Ensure compliance to Engineering work processes (BPMS) and support continuous improvement of processes, in alignment with overall business goals Prepare proposals and CTR’s for front end studies to be performed. Have specialist knowledge and experience within a particular technology discipline. Have good overall knowledge of the TechnipFMC technologies and products that can be included within a subsea system. Continuously keep updated regarding the latest subsea technology and industry developments aspects. You will be based in Paris la Défense.
You are meant for this job if:
Must have:
Minimum 5 years of Technical experience, 3+ years in Subsea.
Detailed knowledge of at least one SPS subsea product/sub-system engineering.
Good understanding of overall subsea systems, ideally gained through a role of systems engineer.
Good understanding of REMS organization and ways of working.
Strong working knowledge of TeamCenter and SAP.
Recommended formal education: Technical degree
Required personal skills: Good communication skills in regional environments, both internally with peers/management and externally with clients. Work in teams. Good knowledge of English language, both verbally and written. Ability to work within a global environment. Performs well in a fast paced atmosphere, and constantly changing schedules and priorities while balancing external influences from customers, peers and schedules.
