We are growing fast globally, and are now seeking to recruit a Tactical Buyer as a result of an internal promotion to be based at our flagship site in Lappeenranta, Finland. This role can be done on a hybrid basis, with some time working remotely as well as from our offices. Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers and follow-up when necessary to avoid stockouts.
- Ensure accuracy of purchase order due dates.
- Collaboration with external suppliers regarding the stated and changed demands resulting from MRP cycles.
- Working with Global Procurement to ensure that capacity files are in place and of some recent S&OP cycle for high impact suppliers.
- As necessary, allocation management for capacity constrained suppliers.
- Work with planning and manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to lower inventory, reduce stockouts and to improve on-time delivery.
- Maintain master data information in SAP.
- Create and/or publish forecast reports to supplier.
Background & Skills
To thrive as a Tactical Buyer, we would expect you to display:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or a related field.
- Good SAP and MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
- Understanding of machining and casting components and/or electronic components.
- Passionate about learning and to continuously improve skills.
- Organized and process oriented.
- Professional and outstanding communication skills in all aspects and situations especially, when dealing with customers, suppliers and co-workers.
- Business fluent English skills are essential.
